Who’s paying for the health care overhaul?
by admin ~ March 29th, 2010. Filed under: Blog.The unprecedented legislation that was signed into law by the President last week has a pretty hefty price tag: $940 billion over the next ten years, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate.
As is the case with most large-scale federal legislation, the 2,000+ pages of the new law include a number of tax-related provisions.
Over the next few weeks, this space will explain some of the tax consequences of the legislation, including which taxpayers will be footing the bill. Some of the highlighted provisions in the new law will be more significant than others and some explanations will be more interesting, but all of the changes mentioned are scheduled to have an impact on the taxpayers.
