Las Cruces has been named one of the best cities in the United States for business. Again.

While not immune from the recent economic challenges, Las Cruces has continued to be recognized as a great place for “creating and sustaining jobs and economic growth.” Las Cruces is #9 on the 2009 Best-Performing Cities Index, according to the Milken Institute/Greenstreet Real Estate Partners.

Las Cruces also made it in the Top 10 in 2003, 2004, the Top 20 in 2005, 2007, and was ranked #11 for 2008.

The Best Performing Cities Index considers “job, wage and salary and technology growth.” Las Cruces received its highest marks in some of the technology growth categories.
