“In Praise of the 5th Amendment” or “Don’t Talk to the Police!”

This video is an excellent explanation of why it is never a good idea to speak to the police or the IRS. As Professor Duane details, this rule applies even if the person is innocent or will only tell the truth.

Professor James Duane graduated from Harvard Law School, practiced criminal defense, and now teaches Trial Practice, Evidence, and other subjects at Regent University School of Law, where he delivered this lecture.
